diagnosed with cancer
This book is a personal story written as inspiration and hope, for all those who have been diagnosed with cancer and are looking to combine conventional and alternative treatments, in order to increase the likelihood of success in beating the cancer.
Sun Hee was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer and was in a state of total shock and despair on September 28, 2007, the day she had a thoracentesis which reduced pleural fluid by 2" per x-ray taken after the procedure.
The very next day on September 29, 2007, Sun Hee began an intense alternative nutritional and detox therapy––and her health improved dramatically in the next two weeks, while we were waiting for surgery. In fact her pleural effusion (the fluid built up in her chest cavity) reduced by an additional 1.375” in just 10 days, per x-ray taken on October 7, 2007.
A sequence of four X-rays shown in Chapter 4 document the complete disappearance of the pleural effusion, as a result of Sun Hee's use of conventional and alternative approaches.
Then on October 15, 2007, Sun Hee had surgery to remove the primary tumor, and survived a complicated recovery room crisis. She continued her nutritional and detox therapy for the six weeks after surgery. She then continued an adjusted alternative nutritional program––while receiving a total of eight chemotherapy infusions of carboplatin and taxol––over the next seven months.
When her doctors then recommended twelve more “maintenance” chemotherapy treatments, Sun Hee asked: “Is that really necessary?” By good fortune, Sun Hee’s family and friends organized a Healing Benefit Concert, which allowed Sun Hee to go to an alternative health clinic in Mexico in July 2008, for 10 days.
Sun Hee made dramatic progress at the clinic, losing her chemo-caused yellow jaundiced look, in just eight days. She learned a special food and juicing therapy––that allowed her body to receive ideal human nutrition on an hourly basis. She also learned about detox methods and supplementation.
After the clinic experience Sun Hee made dramatic progress. Then after six months back home, Sun Hee went through a huge healing reaction, which had been predicted by the staff at the clinic, six months in advance. A graph of the liver enzymes documenting this healing reaction is in Chapter 18.
While Sun Hee's ovarian cancer tumor marker CA-125 blood test was 3,745 at first diagnosis, it now falls into the normal range which is 0 to 35. Sun Hee is feeling healthy. A summary chart of CA-125 tests and blood work is in Chapter 10.Significantly, Sun Hee’s results appear to be better than 90% of other cases of ovarian cancer stage IV, where a large maligant pleural effusion is involved. According to our research, medical science has not yet cured any cases of ovarian cancer with a malignant pleural effusion.
This is a cause for concern––and it is a rather unnerving statistic––even when we see that Sun Hee is doing so well. Despite this worry, Sun Hee is a living example of what progress can be achieved when alternative nutritional and detox therapy is combined with conventional medical treatments.
This is a very personal story of Sun Hee’s healing odyssey: combining alternative and conventional treatments. We hope that it can:

- Inform you by direct example, of how Sun Hee achieved her results –– through use of alternative and conventional medicine.

We hope the miracle of healing that Sun Hee has received––at the hands of her doctors, both conventional and alternative; and by her own hands and those of her family who help with the organic vegetarian food and juicing in the kitchen––can also be yours, if you suffer from cancer. This approach is work intensive, but as well, a great journey of growth and love. The most critical thing is to begin.
NOTE: The logic for embracing an alternative nutritional and detox program is simple: Regardless of what treatments you may choose from the field of conventional medicine––you must still eat and drink something––so why not eat and drink the absolutely most ideal food and drink you can, to help you rebuild your own immune system. This can then help you to fight the cancer––from the inside out––to achieve authentic healing.
